Client Information: The Dadra and Nagar Haveli Planning and Development Authority (DNHPDA) is a statutory body constituted under Section 20(1) of the Town and Country Planning Act as applicable to the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli. The authority is engaged in the task of preparing land use plans and identifying various development activities in the U.T. of Dadra and Nagar Haveli. 

Its primary function is to prepare a Regional plan, outline development plan, Comprehensive development plan, Town planning scheme, etc. to achieve its objective.

Modules Implemented: CAD scrutiny Engine & Workflow Management.

Objective: To smoothen the following functions:

  • Prepare an Outline Development Plan (ODP) for the Planning Area
  • Prepare a Comprehensive Development Plan;
  • Granting of Construction Permission for residential, residential – cum –commercial, commercial and industrial buildings as per Development Control Rules specified from time to time.
  • Granting of Occupancy Certificate for residential, residential – cum –commercial, commercial, and industrial buildings as per Development Control Rules specified from time to time.

Project Description: AutoDCR Solution has been implemented for planning & development authority-DNH. It includes the CAD drawings scrutiny followed by the file movement of the proposal. It is located at the NIC server with higher security.

Issue and Challenges: There were several issues and challenges like:

  • Complex nature of land records and many rules interrelated to each other
  • Malpractices were unavoidable due to a lack of standardization
  • The time-consuming process as it involved multiple handoffs

Solution: SoftTech has implemented the AutoDCR system in DNHPDAand this system has been successfully rolled throughout the applicable area of DNHPDA. Currently, 35+ users are working through the system.
