Client Information: Pimpri-Chinchwad is known by many nomenclatures worldwide. Widely famous as an Industrial Township, it is also recognized as Detroit of the East, with the presence of many national and multinational automobile companies.
Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation or PCMC is a Municipal corporation in the city of Pimpri-Chinchwad, which is a suburb of Pune. This corporation is situated on the Mumbai–Pune Expressway in the heart of Pimpri-Chinchwad. It was established in 1982 covering an area of about 87 square kilometers.

Objective:
- Finding the status of the proposal or locating a file of a particular proposal within the rigid hierarchy and complicated procedures in the corporation can be a very perplexing experience. Provide a simple mechanism to search proposals.
- To reinvent, redefine the government-public interface, optimize government resources, and enable decision support systems to shape the city’s future.
- Provide the citizens with better access to information and services.
- Help reduce costs, increase revenues, enhance speed and efficiency and also increase accountability
Project Description: AutoDCR Solution has been implemented for the Building Plan department to have a smooth proposal submission, scrutiny of the drawings, incorporate all the necessary information, track the proposal, and final approval of the proposal. From a revenue point of view, PCMC is one of the highest revenue-generating corporations in India.
Issue and Challenges: There were several issues and challenges like:
- Complex nature of land records and many rules ·interrelated to each other
- For a standard process and system, Increase the productivity and decrease the ·manual intervention
- The time-consuming process as it involved multiple handoffs
- Revenue target achievement for ULBs remained ·elusive due to procedural delays
- Malpractices were unavoidable due to a lack of standardization
Solution: SoftTech has implemented the AutoDCR system in PCMC for the Building Plan department and this system has been successfully rolled out in all zones and ward Offices across Pimpri-Chinchwad and currently 100+ users are using the system. The system is also integrated with other citizen facilities.
